Rossi: ‘Very Positive Progress’ with the E-Cat SKL

Andrea Rossi has reported that in recent weeks and months he has been working with partners on improving the E-Cat SKL, the version of his technology that generates electricity directly. For unspecified reasons, to get the SKL to run reliably has apparently been problematic. However, Rossi has stated that just this weekend he has made significant progress with the SKL.

Here are some comments about this from the Journal of Nuclear Physics:

Dear Andrea,
We know that the SKL works quite reliably at small power, because the SKLed contains one and the operational reliability of the SKLed will be guaranteed for a considerable period. A few questions:
1. Do also more powerful Ecat SKL’s work reliably if being externally powered and generating electricity at a higher power level?
2. If so, does it mean that you are now focused on product development of the SKL?
3. If not, is just increasing the power level a major issue or are other factors involved?

Gerard McEk:
1. premature
2. we are, but independently from point 1 above
3. there are other issues involved. Anyway: great step forward today !
Warm Regards,

Dear Andrea,
How is proceeding the R&D on the SKL ?

Dear Andrea,

Congratulations on the progress with the Ecat SKL!

1. Would you classify the progress you have recently made with the SKL as a ‘breakthrough’?
2. What do you think the probability is now that you will present the SKL on November25?

Frank Acland:
1. yes
2. not impossible
Warm Regards,
A.R.

I do think that with a major public event scheduled for November 25th, that Rossi will be working and hoping to get the SKL to a level where he can present it to the world, along with the Ecat SKLed lamp, but I don’t think he will do it unless he feels it is ready. So with November only three months away, I think there will be frenetic activity among Rossi’s team to continue to resolve problems. I hope he makes it.
