Rossi: No New Ecat SKLep Demos, Priority is Manufacture and Delivery

This Q&A from the Journal of Nuclear Physics today gives the impression that Rossi is confident of reaching the 1 million pre-order mark for the Ecat SKLep:

Dr Rossi,
Are you going to make more demonstrations after the one of December 9th ?

Jim:
No. The December 9th presentation has been made to collect orders for at least 1 million units of the Ecat SKLed and now we are reaching that target soon, due to the flow of the incoming orders. As a consequence of this fact, we do not have any reason to make further demonstrations. One million Ecats in the world will make useless any demo. Now our priorities are:
1- MANUFACTURE
2- DELIVERY
All the rest is not priority.
Warm Regards,
A.R.

His December 9th presentation seems to have done what he intended to – generate the needed number of pre-orders. In this comment, Ross himself seems quite surprised at what the response has been (he was responding to a comment suggesting he put a pre-order counter on his site):

Neri Accornero:
Thank you for the suggestion. I foresee a big surprise: actually, the increase IS exponential. Nobody could think the video of the December 9th presentation could generate such results. Me too, honestly.
Warm Regards,
A.R.

As soon as Ecats start to be delivered, I have no doubt that there will be many demonstrations of it posted online by the new owners. Independent demonstrations will tell the true story of what is going on with the SKLeps, and they will be a lot more convincing than any presentation that Rossi can do.
