Rossi: Now Working on Developing Self-Sustaining Ecat SKLep

Yesterday, Andrea Rossi confirmed on the Journal of Nuclear Physics that he is currently ‘working on’ an Ecat SKLep that operates in self-sustaining mode, meaning that it runs without any need for an external source of electricty. This is something that he has claimed before, but the first version of the Ecat SKLep was shown connected to a 12 volt power supply.

The current claim has generated some further questions on the JONP:

Dear Andrea,

Your answer to Achammer is interesting.

Does this mean that you are working on a SSM version of the Ecat SKLep does not need a connection to an external electrical source?

Dear Dr Rossi
Follow up three questions re: SSM version of the Ecat SKLep

1) Have you demonstrated a concept design that operates in SSM mode
_____1)A So now the task is to engineer it into a product?

2) can you confirm my speculation that a SSM version will need a small amount of power during startup (initial “ignition” ) , for instance, by a “tiny” battery or solar panel before the output from the SKLep is available for the SSM loop?

Best Regards
LarryG

Dear Andrea Rossi,

Here we are, approaching the start of June 2022. Do you think it is still possible to ship production 100W SKLep units (and their controller) before 1 Jan 2023?

We still hope so,

We have seen over the years that Rossi never stops working on development of the Ecat. It makes me wonder whether the plug-in Ecat SKLep will actually be the version which will be shipped, if he ever makes it to that point. Maybe the SSM Ecat is the “plan B” that he has mentioned. If so, I think he would need to demonstrate it somehow, in order for people to take it seriously, since what is described would be considered by most to be completely impossible.
