There are some recent comments from Andrea Rossi on the Journal of Nuclear Physics that indicate he has made progress in developing a way to allow the E-Cat to operate without needing a grid connection. Of course this would be an important step forward as many people had been hoping to be able to run E-Cats in off-grid situations.

Are you still working to eliminate the necessity of the connection of the Ecat with the grid ?

Yes, and we are making progress,

Can you explain more about the progress to get rid of the grid connection ?

We have invented a new circuit that allows it. We are proceeding with tests before considering it done.
I would hope that if this solution proves to work long-term that a separate livestream could be set up to show this development. I think it would help increase the number of pre-orders and hasten the start of production.
