Rossi: E-Cat NGU Needs ‘Proportional Mass’ as an Earth

There was some discussion in the past about how the was a need for an earth/ground connection for the E-Cat to operate. The topic has come up again in questions and answers on the Journal of Nuclear Physics.

If the Ecat needs, as you said here, an earthly connection, how can this be coherent with a mobile application?

For mobile applications we use a mass proportional to the power connected with the circuit,

Dr. Rossi,
With respect to portable applications of the Ecat and “proportional mass”– to better understand its application-

If I wanted to utilize a 1kW Ecat in a portable power station application for hiking and camping, is it your current thinking that:
1) The proportional mass could be built into the 1kW Ecat device?
2) The proportional mass could be built into the power station assembly that incorporates the 1kW Ecat device?
3) No proportional mass would be needed and the end-user would be required to pound a conductive rod into the earth to provide an earth-ground for the 1kW portable power station?

1- it is already built in by us
2- see 1
3- no: this would be necessary in more industrial applications

It doesn’t seem like the proportional mass that AR is talking about is significantly large, if it is built into the design of the E-Cat, and can be used in mobile applications. I am curious to find out what the weight of the E-Cat NGU system is in the EV.

Rossi has said that both EVs will be weighed before and after the test. Weighing will be important because since two equal vehicles will be used in the test, we will be able to determine the weight of the E-Cat system that is charging the EV’s battery by comparing its weight with the regular EV. The weight of the E-Cat system is important because it will be necessary to rule out the possibility that the E-Cat system is itself just an extra hidden battery.
