There have been a have been a number of questions regarding the weight and size of the E-Cat that was used in the modified Twizy used in the E-Cat EV test on September 27th.
Here is a photo I took of the back seat of the E-Cat car before the test started. Maico Marzocchi told me that the case that sits on top of the steel E-Cat box contains the circuitry that he built to convert the electricity generated by the E-Cat into a form that could be used to charge the Twizy’s battery. He said that this box, plus the cabling that he used weighed around 10 kg. Andrea Rossi said that the E-Cat itself, along with other necessary components weighed about 8 kg, and the steel case shown here, necessary as protection in case of explosion or fire, weighed around 80 kg.
