Article: “Electric cars soon without batteries? First tests in Italy give hope” (Austrian Association for Space Energy)

An article on the website of the Austrian Association for Space Energy (Österreichische Vereinigung für Raumenergie) looks at the Latina E-Cat EV test:

The article is in German, translated it reads: “Electric cars soon without batteries? First tests in Italy give hope”

The article gives a summary of the test and goes on to discuss the implications of the E-Cat for the uptake of electric vehicles, since currently there are sluggish EV sales around the world.

“The technology just presented could revolutionize the currently struggling electric car market, which is experiencing a noticeable decline in Austria in 2024. Electric vehicles are still not a convincing alternative for many people. The high purchase costs, the dependence on charging stations and the extremely resource-consuming battery technologies are a deterrent – the inhumane extraction of raw materials for the production of batteries is also a thorn in the side of ecologically and humanistically minded people. Car buyers therefore continue to opt for the classic combustion engine.”

Andrea Rossi has said that it will take longer to put E-Cats in cars because of the complex electronics involved, and the need for safety certifications, which apparently the E-Cat does not have for EVs. But certainly there is vast potential here, if he can get auto makers on board with the E-Cat.
