Telling the E-Cat Story

Anyone following the E-Cat story must be wondering now who Leonardo Corp’s unnamed partner is and what capabilities they might have. Andrea Rossi stated that when the facility is fully expanded, the partner’s initial E-Cat manufacturing factory will cover 3.5 million square feet, which would make it one of the largest factories in the world. This would make it almost twice as big as, Tesla Motor’s famous Gigafactory in Nevada USA, where the company’s EV batteries and other components are manufactured, which is 1.9 million square feet in size. To build something double the size of the Gigafactory would require a very large company.

I have long thought that the E-Cat, to really make an impact on the world, needs to be mass manufactured on a large scale, the reason being that once people know about it, and believe in its capabilities, almost everyone will want the technology, ranging from small households to large industries, because there is nothing on the planet that can match it.

It has always been interesting to me how relatively unknown the E-Cat is. To date, Leonardo Corporation has focused on research and development rather than on public communication. In terms of media channels, Leonardo has a YouTube channel and an X account, but the audiences for both are very small in comparison to most major companies. For the E-Cat to catch on, I think a large public communications push would be required. Not only would potential customers need to be informed about products, but I think there would need to be serious outreach to media, government and the scientific community who will most certainly scrutinize the claims about the E-Cat.

I asked Andrea Rossi yesterday about this on the Journal of Nuclear Physics:

Dear Andrea,

Does your new partner have a department that is devoted to marketing, advertising and public communications?

Frank Acland,
Yes,
Warm Regards,
A.R.

I think this means that there will eventually be a concerted and serious effort to tell the E-Cat story on the scale that the technology deserves.
