E-Cat Preorder Prices to Increase [Update: No Deposit for Preorders]

[Update, Jan 13, 2025] On the Quantum EverSource website now, they are no longer asking for a deposit from those who are placing preorders.

There is a new statement on the E-Cat X account about a raise in preorder prices.

Notice about prices for E-Cat Products available for preorder:

In order to facilitate the production of our E-Cat products, it is necessary that we raise our preorder prices. Starting on Monday, January 13th, 2025 the preorder price for our products listed on the Leonardo Corporation website (http://ecatthenewfire.com) will be based on a cost of $35 USD per 10 W. Preorder prices for all other products will be raised accordingly.

Preorders placed up to the end of January 12, 2025 will not be affected by the price change. All preorders placed prior to Jan 13th will be honored at the preorder price listed when the preorder was placed.

Some E-Cat products are listed for preorder on the website of the new partner, listed in Euros. So for example, a 100 W unit is listed for €350 (see here: https://www.quantumeversource.com/product-page/quantum-eversource-100w-power-cell). On the Quantum Eversource site they are requiring a 25% deposit to place a preorder, while there is no such requirement mentioned on the Leonardo website.

It doesn’t look like you can actually place a preorder yet on the Quantum EverSouce website:

They list 3 products: The 1 MW plant, the 3 kW generator and the 100 W generator. Each unit says “out of stock”. You have to contact them directly to place a preorder for a 1 MW plant. For the 3 kW and 100 W generators it states:

“PREORDER AND PAYMENT: You will be charged 50% of the price of each item at checkout. You will receive a payment link for the remaining balance (50%) 1 week before shipping.”

But on the right side of the screen under Terms and Conditions for Pre-Order it states:

“Pre-Order Flexibility: A 25% deposit secures your item but you may cancel at any time for a full refund.”

So it’s not clear to me if they are asking for a 50% or 25% downpayment.
