Leonardo Corporation communicates that every relationship with Quantum Legacy Foundation and all the related companies of its Group has been severed.

So the deal is off. As we have noted here there have been recent signs that something was amiss, and it appears that Andrea Rossi wanted to make a clean break.

A reader on the Journal of Nuclear Physics this morning asked about how much QLF knew about his technology:

The License Agreement with them has not yet been executed and consequently no industrial secret has been released. They did not receive any know how related information.

In that moment I was, but eventually substantial actions from the couterpart had not been yet executed, and I put on hold the transmession of the restricted parts of knowledge.

So it’s not clear from this exactly what information QLF received, but it sounds like something gave Rossi pause and he did not provide trade secrets.

Where do we go from here? I guess we’ll find out. This partnership and consequent breakup has not been as long and protracted as the one he made with Industrial Heat. Will Leonardo Corporation find a suitable partner in the future, and what will this mean for E-Cat commercialization? Andrea Rossi today stated:
