I was hoping like most E-Cat followers that the first E-Cats to be delivered would be shipped to people who had put in individual preorders, but it looks like that won’t be the case to start out with.
The decision to ship high-voltage assemblies to a business that provides electricity to the grid is, in my opinion, a safe and pragmatic one. From what Andrea Rossi describes in the latest report, these E-Cat assemblies will be used in intermediate power stations, which are set up to provide additional electricity to the grid at times of peak demand.
Apparently this can be a very lucrative business to be in because utilities are willing to pay high prices for electricity that will keep the grid running. It will provide an opportunity to operate the E-Cats in a controlled environment, and will make it difficult for people to start reverse engineering efforts.
Realistically, the electrical grid is not going away any time soon. The world depends on having a stable source of electricity, even with many people pushing for independence from the grid. Even with the E-Cat in the marketplace, the grid will have to be around for a long time so that people and businesses can continue to have a stable electricity supply.
Where does this leave those of us who have submitted preorders? I am not sure. Andrea Rossi states that Leonardo Corporation does not have a say in this decision since commercial decisions are now being made by the global licensee. And we don’t know who that licensee is, so we can’t ask them questions.
