Deliveries Ongoing, First E-Cat Plant Not Operating Yet

It came as a bit of a surprise to a lot of us when Andrea Rossi stated that the deliveries of E-Cats to the first client had already started. To get a clearer picture of what is going on you have to piece together various comments from Andrea Rossi in his responses to questions.

Here is what I can gather at the moment based on Rossi’s comments. He has said that his partnership involves three entities: 1. A manufacturer, 2. A financer, 3. An electricity generator. I believe that when he refers to the Global Licensee, he is referring to the manufacturer.

So I think what has happened over the last year is that Rossi hand the manufacturer have designed a 100 W E-Cat model, and put a system in place to manufacture it. Rossi has stated that these E-Cats are comprised of approximately 50% parts made in-house, and 50% outsourced.

The first plant, which will generate electricity that will be fed into the grid, will delivering power at the scale of megawatts. Rossi will not say exactly how many MW, but if this plant is just 1 MW, it will be made up of 10,000 individual E-Cat units.

I asked Rossi today whether all the E-Cats needed to build this plant have been delivered yet. He replied, “The deliveries are still ongoing”. The manufacturer has apparently built an automated production line, but we don’t know what the rate of production is. So it’s possible it could take months to make all the necessary units.

That’s my interpretation of what the current situation is. Rossi has mentioned that eventually a global presentation will be made, but the timing of that is not in his control.

We don’t yet know who the licensee is. But if it turns out that the licensee is a public company, I believe that financial regulations will require them at some point to disclose what they are doing because that would be considered a “material fact” that could influence investors’ decisions.
