A press release from Japanese company Clean Planet, published on March 11, 2026 announces an investment that The Sankei Building Co., Ltd., a Tokyo-based real estate developer, has made with Clean Planet. The goal of this collaboration is to promote Clean Planet’s “Quantum Hydrogen Energy” as a technology that provides energy for real estate developments.
A quote from the Press release:
“Developers have a responsibility to adapt to changing times and create real estate that
delivers lasting value for future generations,” said Toshinori Abe, Director and Senior
Managing Executive Officer of Sankei Building. “Quantum Hydrogen Energy has the
potential to overturn conventional energy concepts, and we believe it could become a game
changer in future real estate development. Through this collaboration, we hope to
contribute to safer, more resilient, and more sustainable urban environments.”
On its website, Clean Planet describes Quantum Hydrogen Energy (QHe) as “a heat-generating technology with hydrogen quantum diffusion. The diffusion is induced by heating a small amount of hydrogen saturated in nano-sized nickel-based composite material.”
They state that the heat density of QHe is much higher than that of chemical reactions, such as the burning of natural gas, as illustrated in this graphic:
