After Andrea Rossi and Industrial Heat famously split following the settlement of their litigation, Rossi quite quickly alluded to a new ‘partner’ who was assisting him with his work. He has provided very little information about this partner, or the nature of its relationship with Leonardo, but it seems to be very important in terms of bringing the E-Cat into the commercial real.
I have been asking some questions about this partner as we now seem to be moving into an important phase of the E-Cat’s development. Here are some Q&As from the Journal of Nuclear Physics:

Congratulations on the decision to go with the E-Cat SK for industrialization, and best wishes for success with this new project. Do you now have to find investors to raise funds for the industrialization process?

We already found the right Partner.

You have stated that your partner is mainly an industrial partner. Does this mean that they are helping you to prepare for the mass production of your E-Cat SK reactors?

Thank you for your response about the partner. Can you say in what ways is your partner helping you:
a) Providing expertise of persons with manufacturing experience?
b) Providing building space in which you can build your E-Cats?
c) Providing equipment with which to build the E-Cats?
d) Providing other financial resources to support the industrialization?

Of course, this all needs to be confirmed, but if true, it sounds like he is being backed up and supported in many important ways by this partner. He said that they were involved in the recent SK testing and their response was ‘positive’. For a company with significant financial and engineering resources to be on board with manufacturing E-Cats, they have to be convinced it is real and a worthwhile investment. For Rossi, it is ideal not just to have financial resources behind him, but industrial ones too, and not least, a location already in place where they can build his plants.
