Q&A part 11
I am interested in determining how much floor and/or shelf space I would need to house the SKLEP system. Do you plan to vary the size of the enclosure based on the number of SKLEP modules that the enclosure contains. Or do you plan to use a single enclosure size that is capable of housing a maximum number of SKLEP modules.?
We supply the modules as described in www.Ecat.com
I plan to use only single SKLEP modules in my configuration. Will a
maximum sized enclosure be used to house a single SKLEP module?
No
If you plan this type of standardized maximum sized enclosure
strategy, I will need to erect an out building to house the SKLEP
system configuration.
2. Based on the fact that the SKLep is based on the SKL i assume the
unit contains a bulb to contain the plasma during normal operation. A
typical discharge lamp has a lifespan of up to 5000 hours, which is a
lot less than the expected operational lifespan of 100 000 hours for
the SKLep stated on your website. Did you do tests to evaluate the
lifespan of the plasma bulb, and can you give us some confidence that
this will not be the bottleneck when it comes to longevity of the
device?
we made tests and the description you wrote is wrong. We do not give information about how the Ecat is made internally
Mr Rossi, Large-scale manufacturing is a specialty. Mastering all the processes and carrying out all the necessary controls during production is not easy when you talk in millions of units: 1. don’t you think that you should join forces with an industrialist whose business is the production of several million units, such as it
is for the smartphones manufacturers ?
Our industrial strategy is not public
2. why don’t you assign the patent? The fortune of you and your team
would be made, and enjoy your retirement, time flies. Humanity would
need a source of clean energy within 10 years to stabilize the climate
crisis.
Thank you for your suggestions
3. you impose a million units in pre-order before starting production. How long will it take you to serve the millionth customer?
I hope less than one year
Q&A Part 10
Dear Mr. Rossi, you estimate the lifespan of the SKLep at 100.000 h
continous use, which equals around 11 years of continous use. What, if
the SKLep is not used continously but only some hours a day (say 12
hours). Would this result in a longer lifespan (in years), since the
100.000h of use time are stretched on a longer period of days/years?
Sorry for my bad english … 🙂
Theoretically it would be so: the 100 kh should be of operating time, but, oviously, we have to experiment it
I have some questions about the power INPUT.
1. What is the input voltage range for the DC version?
12-14 V
2. What is the input voltage for the AC version? Will it accept both
110V/240V 50/60Hz or do we need to specify the grid voltage and plug
type when we order a unit?
120/240 @ 60/50 Hz is fine
Some questions about the power OUTPUT of the E-Cat:
1. What is the voltage of the version with AC output? Is it also 12V?
no, it is 220 or 110
2. What is the frequency of the AC output?
50 Hz for 220 , 60 Hz for 110
I read that the output of the E-Cat can be adjusted using a
potentiometer on the top of the unit. Is this used to set the output
voltage of the device (0-12V) or is it used to set a current limit or
even a power limit (0-100W)?
voltage regulation at the output
Mr Rossi,
You no longer talk about the composition of the ash inside the
reactor, do you think isotope decay is still relevant?
I don’t think so
1 Is the output completely floating and isolated to achieve a series
configuration?
yes
2 Can the one controller drive all the series units?
yes, with modifications depending on the specific situation
3 Is there a specified maximum number of units that can be connected in series?
theoretically not
I am interested in configuring a highly reliable parallel connected
combined system in which I can control power production over a wide
range. In order to do so, will I be permitted to order 12 standalone
systems each consisting of one 12 volt DC module together with its
controller at a cost of $250 each?
If not, what would the extra cost to configure these systems be?
I need to know exactly your installation: before the delivery we will give you the necessary instructions
Mr Rossi,
A few questions about the E-Cat’s 12V switching power supply.
(professionally I often use this kind of power supply to equip my 19
‘chassis)
– why do you use such a powerful PSU (~ 100W) to deliver a few Watts
to the E-Cat ?
confidential
– in general, this type of power supply has 4 terminals for the
output: + V, + F and -V, -F. The + V and + F terminals must be
connected together, as well as the -V and -F terminals for the power
supply to function properly. Maybe the output comes with just 2
terminals (0V, +12V)?
No
When I need more power, adding more SKLep, can I modify the control
unit by myself under your guidance?
Under our guidance
The plasma inside the SKLep emits light. Is it possible to use this
light for room illumination?
Good point: we are making experiments in this sense
Q&A Part 9
Will the control unit be able to control future higher power versions
of the E-Cat?
yes, with modifications
Is the firmware of the control unit upgradeable?
yes
Does the core of the E-Cat emit so called ‘strange radiation’
no
Does the E-Cat produce any kind of noise when it is powered up?
no
SKLep life is supposedly 100 thousand hours. Does it mean that there
is some “fuel” which lasts that long?
confidential
SKLep supposedly lasts 100 thousand hours of continuous service. Does
switching it off extend those initial 100,000 hours?
100000 hours are intended to be operative: when the Sklep is turned off the time count stops as well
Does the size of the enclosure vary with the number of modules that
are housed in that enclosure.
yes, proportionally with the number of units
What are the dimensions of a single module enclosure.
see the video
You state that the SKLEP is patent pending. 1.Has the patent office
run tests on the SKLEP to verify that the claims made in your patent
application are valid? 2.If the claims are not yet tested, will these
test be run before the patent is approved?
The patent office make all it makes for all patents
Could you give some hints on how to integrate SKLep units in a solar
panel installation so that existing 3 phase inverter and connection to
the my house installations and the grid could be utilized.
we give this consulting to our clients, and they depend on the specific situations
Why the wattmeter indicates 0.7W while the voltage is 223V and the
current 0.02A? by the math 223*.02 = 4.46W. The consumption is
measured before the power supply? this seems impossible because only
the idle consume of the switching psu is higher than 0.7W.
The green line shows the W of absorbed power, which means the actual Wh/h consumed by the appliance ( included the power source, as you correctly write). The red lines indicate the V of the grid and A, but when you make V x A you must apply the power factor. The number that shows the W is only the green one.
Mr Rossi, since the power supply of the control system is not
indicated on the synoptic, maybe the CS is self powered by the E-Cat,
am I right ?
Yes. The control system is not connected to the power source
What will happen if you don’t get the 1 million pre-orders? Will you
give up everything or will you continue your research without thinking
about putting in an Ecat again?
I am sure we will reach the 1 million units ordered target and will give well above it
If I want to order other SKLep after receiving a first order, will I
benefit from the same price?
yes
Dear Andrea Rossi, don’t you think that the review of YouTube would be
doubled if the title of the review were, for example, “Demonstration
of a 10-year uninterruptible power supply” or “Demonstration of an
electricity source efficiency factor> 90”?
I pass it on to our expert of this issue, but thank you for your good will to help us !
Is the operating time of the SKLEP 100000 hours the same even without
connecting the input power supply?
If you do not make this connection the Ecat SKLep doesn’t work
Q&A Part 8
1. There is a three year warranty stated. What about the 100,000 hour
reliability claim?
it is not guaranteed, it is a theoretical estimation
2. What happens if the system fails after the three year warranty is exceeded?
we don’t expect it to happen, but probably we will substitute it after the Client returns it back to us, so we will be able to study the problem
3. How are performance issues handled during the three year warranty?
what do you mean ?
4. Does the repair, any repair delays, and shipping to and fro time
count against the warranty time?
the time due to delays imputable to us will be recovered
5. Is the warranty reset to day zero after repair of the SKLEP?
No
My risks as follows:
I must pay the electric utility more than $500 for special metering
and connect approval study. If I fail to get approval of that
connection process, I am out that money and I must cancel my preorder.
I may need to down size my order to comply with the Utilities
connection requirements; Is this allowed?
You should to clear the issues before we delivery. Until we don’t delivery you have to pay nothing to ushttps://e-catworld.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php
How can I add addition 100 watt modules after system delivery if required?
Please specify the environmental and operational conditions for the
ecat lep. It would be good to include them in the specifications.
We will supply all the necessary instructions when it will be the case, provided you send us exact specifications about your situation.
All our specs are in www.ecat.com
Hi, I did not see any Amp measured between Ecat and the Resistor, no
temperature of oil or any prof of producing energy in the
presentation. You spent most time showing the input power but no
results other then 12V and it says nothing.
Ohms Equations: A = V/R ; W = A x V
In the video we put in evidence V and R, from which you derive A and, consequently, W
Q&A Part 7
What happens if you short the output of the unit when it is powered
on? Is it protected?
yes
Is the unit protected against reverse current on the output? (e.g.
connecting a 24V battery to the 12V output of the unit).
yes
Will the unit be serviceable if a defect occurs after the warranty period?
yes
Are there employees of your company who have been provided a
pre-production version of the SKLep/SKLed products so they can
use/test them at home?
confidential
Mr. Rossi
I see it this way today: addressing the car industry, setting up a
joint venture and issuing shares on the stock exchange.
Best Regards
thank you for your suggestion
My solar energi system has 16 panels, each about 300W, 35V, connected
in series to a 5kW 3 phase inverter. Each panel is connected via an
optimizer making the panels power production independent from each
other. Each panel produces at its maximum even if the roof is party in
shadow. Can i replace one of the solar panels by three 12V SKLep
connected via the optimizer used by the replaced panel.
no, they are different things. You can integrate, not substitute
Does the ECAT SSLep continue to produce electricity in the case that
input voltage to the controller goes to zero?
no
In the AC to AC version of the SKLep are there two converters, one for
input to the controller and one for output from the white box?
it depends on the situation
Q&A Part 6
SKLEP .. Is its resources equally lost by supplying 100,000 hours of
electricity or without load?
I do not understand this question: please rephrase it
Can it be damaged due to a short circuit in the load, an overvoltage
both at the output and a lightning discharge in the control circuit
(for example)? Is there an electrical potential from the 220V mains?
No. The AI saves the circuit
Is it affected by strong electromagnetic or magnetic fields?
It depends on what you mean by “strong”
What are the operating ambient temperatures?
from -20 through 60 °C
I have a dehumidifier who need 200 W, can I use it with 2 Ecat-SKLep ?
You should
I heard that there was a security preventing an electric car from
driving when it was plugged into a charging station. Will it then be
possible to plug in the SKLep to power an electric car when it is in
motion?
we never experimented this issue, but it is worth an experiment.
Thank you for the suggestion
Q&A Part 5
1 Does the e-cat SKLep have a reactor inside?
yes
2 If yes, is it the same or similar to what you called the SKL?
yes
3 Is there is more than 1 reactor / SKL inside the e-cat SKLep or is
there is only 1 inside?
confidential
If combining ECatLEPs to serveral kW, transforming it to 240V, would
it be suitable to be pushed/sold to the net just as solar cells? So
the output would be x kW of ecat power minus the efficiency of the
transformator?
should be
Dear Doktor Rossi congratulations on your development! Do you plan on
adding sales and marketing professionals to your team? This might be
inevitable regarding the goal of one million pre-orders. Good luck and
best of wishes, Pipo
The Team will be expanded in proportion to the activity
Dear Mr Rossi, about the electrical wiring schematic, the “control
system” part intrigued me. Please, and if it is not a secret, can you
tell me what is the power consumption of the “control system” part
(which is electrically connected to the E-cat) ?
see the video
Subsidiary question, if I may: why the energy taken by the control
system is not included in the overall balance?
see the video
Dear Andrea! Can I feed the controller with a simple 12 V DC device,
for example, one made for loading 12 V car batteries? Is it important
to feed the controller with exactly 1 W? If I buy 10 SKLep, can I buy
just 1 controller?
yes
To me, the demonstration shows that have succeeded in something no one
else has been able to. Congratulations. In one of your answers you
stated that the SKLep would be distributed by regional licensed
companies. I would like to become this in my region, which is
Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada. I can see a bright future for this
technology.
go to www.ecatorders.com and send your order. At the delivery send an email and we will talk of this issue
At the top of the SKLep there is a knob that can be used to modulate
the power output. This makes sense when it is a stand-alone unit. My
questions are:
1) Is the controller a separate unit, and is it provided with the 40
SKLep I have ordered?
no. It is incorporated
2) In a bank of many SKLep with many in series and in parallel,
adjusting each unit separately is not possible. Is it possible to have
a signal wire to each unit from a central controller so the entire
bank can be modulated, or do you have an alternate method to do this?
we will regulate already the power to be contingent with the assebbly and the AI will maintain it
3)Will you have a different configuration of SKLep that will allow it
to be easily assembled in a bank that is closely spaced for efficiency
and is optimized for weight and size?
see above
4) The order form provides options for AC or DC as the supply power,
and also options for the output power. What is the AC frequency
requirement for input, and what is the output frequency?
50 Hz for 220 V, 60 Hz for 110 V
5) will you be issuing a technical manual to assist in designing
products that use the SKLep? If so, when can we expect this?
yes
6) Can the options for AC or DC be changed until the the notice that
the units will ship?
yes – send changes to [email protected]
Thank you Mr. Rossi
Ted
If several SKLep systems are combined, only one controller is needed
up to 100 units. Is the price, for example, for 10 SKLeps with one
controller much less than 10 complete systems, (since the controller
must be a significant part of the cost)?
no, the AI becomes more complex for any adjunted item
Dr Rossi:
Since the power at the input of the assembly is 1W, control system
included, I suggest that the synoptic to be clarified:
– either the microcontroller card has its own power supply (+ 3.3V +
5V) and should be added to the synoptic, by properly connecting the
power supply input to the output of the Wattmeter.
– either the 3.3V and 5V voltages come from the 12V power supply and
in this case a connection should be added on the synoptic going from
the 12V power supply to the microcontroller card.

Dear Andrea Rossi,
I am very pleased that you have come to the conclusion that ECAT’s
operating principles can be based on a “zero point energy” source,
which is a step in the right direction. I also have a question:
If I buy 20 SKLEP, connecting them to two parallel circuits of 10 pcs.
What will be the solution with the control unit? Will each unit have
its own control unit, or will there be one for the entire circuit, or
one common unit?
With best wishes
Kazimieras Liepis
The AI will be adjusted to this particular schematic
What will you do with your invention if the 1Million mark is not met?
WE’LL CONSIDER THE ACTUAL GLOBAL SITUATION
Q&A Part 4
Is the 1W input power for the SKLEP for the device it self or also including the controller and AI?
Will the controller and AI be built into the same unit for the final product?
Greetings, do I need any additional unit apart the Ecat SKLep that has been shown in the presentation? In other words, the named (artificial intelligence) group of pcb that was part of the presentation, is it needed for user operations? And, if yes, is it required? And if yes, is it already integrated as part of the final device Ecat SKLep?
Thanks for your efforts over the years
Giovanni
Once turned on, can the Ecat-Sklep power itself? Or can it feed a second Ecat?
Mark
It would seem cost-prohibitive to use E-CatSKLep alone for most applications, and better to use some combination of SKLep and batteries. How do we calculate the optimal combination?
When will we be able to order the ecat sklep? What is the expected price range per kw?
Then I would order 80 of them.
Best regards.
Curios Swede.
Hello,
Is is possible to run two 12VDC 60W motors directly and continuously for 24 hrs, like the ones used in autonomous factory vehicles, using on vehicle on-board (fully changed 600Ah) battery to power the IA cards and the ecat?
Thanks
what is the max voltage that can be applied when SKLep unit are in series e.g. 10*12=120Vdc or more
In the video of the SKLep there was quite a bit of external control circuitry. Is that to be incorporated into the Ecat box for the final product, or will there still be a lot of external circuitry?
A. So what will Leonardo on order of one SKLep for $249?
1 One SKLep (white box) only
2. In addition to 1. one control unit
3. In addition to 1. and 2. one power supply
B. What is the size of the control unit
C. On order of say 5 SKLep units, will you deliver 5 control units?
Where I understood the control unit is the more expensive part.
