Rossi: 700k Ecat SKLep Orders Reached

There was a new update yesterday from Andrea Rossi on the Journal of Nuclear Physics regarding the number of pre-orders for the Ecat SKLep that had been received:

Dr Rossi:
Did you reach orders for 700000 units ?

Yes, right today we reached 700000 ordered units of the Ecat SKLed.
Warm Regards,
A.R.

Another reader (LarryG) of the JONP posted this summary of the rate in which order totals have been reported by Rossi:

Order History (Quantities are in 1000’s)

Days Days averaage
Since Since Total Order Rate during this 100K reporting period
Date Presentation Last Report Ordered (K) (K/day)
9-Dec-21 0 0
12/27/2021 18 18 300 17
12/30/2021 21 3 400 33
1/2/2022 24 3 500 33
1/6/2022 28 4 600 25
1/21/2022 43 15 700 7

Rossi has said that no production will start until the 1 million target has been achieved, but I would imagine that he has to be preparing for that eventuality. He has stated in the past that the production of SKLeps will be fully automated, so a production system will need to be configured, and I am sure that will not be a trivial task to accomplish.

There was also another Q&A on the location of production facilities:

Dear Dott. Rossi,

Will production of the E-Cat SKLep be based in both Europe AND the USA when the target of 1 million units is reached, thus keeping shipping and transport, and import duties the least possible in both continents?

Albert Ellul:
Yes,

This does make a lot of sense, especially given the cost, time and uncertainty of shipping these days. Europe especially is having a lot of energy related problems these days, so I would expect demand for the Ecat SKLep, assuming it does come to market, would be especially high there. Within the European Union there is free flow of goods, so an EU base for Leonardo would be advantageous.
